Detroit's Kill Mitchell hired me in 2022 to illustrate the cover for their debut album, A Stranglehold On Hope. The mission was to create album art that would evoke both nostalgia for 2000s emo/pop-punk, and the vibe of the album's ethos: love, anarchy, and existential dread in America in the era of Covid, BLM, and #NotMyPresident.
